A Bit of Sunshine

The sun is shining in my corner of the world, as Claire, Terje, and Robin nominated me for the Sunshine Award. Thank you! You make my heart warm.

Here are the official rules:
Acknowledge the nominating blogger.
Share 11 random facts about yourself.
Answer the 11 questions the nominating blogger has created for you.
List 11 bloggers.  They should be bloggers you believe deserve some recognition and a little blogging love!
Post 11 questions for the bloggers you nominate to answer and let all the bloggers know they have been nominated. (You cannot nominate the blogger who nominated you.)

I nominate these bloggers because I’ve missed their stories. Maybe this will be the nudge to start putting words in the post box again! (I’ve alphabetized you so there is no favoritism!)

  1. Becca
  2. Christy
  3. Cheryl
  4. Deb
  5. Dina
  6. Heidi
  7. Mary Helen
  8. Pam
  9. Ruth (The Other Ruth)
  10. Shelley
  11. Tam
  12. Tammy (This is a private blog. Tammy still gets nudged, but I added her as a “12” since only five people in the world have access to her blog!)

There are many of you who add sunshine to my life and I appreciate your regular blog posts. Will you help me nudge the above list of writers to keep clacking out words? They each have remarkable stories. I know, because I watch them live their stories in real life.

Here are your 11 Questions
in a completely random order
  1. What is your favorite office supply?
  2. If I were to make something in my kitchen for you, what would you want it to be?
  3. What makes you feel loved?
  4. If you were a piece of chewing gum, where would you want to be stuck? (Special thanks to Brit Montgomery, third grade teacher, for this little gem of a question.)
  5. What is your least favorite chore around the house?
  6. What’s your favorite kind of exercise?
  7. What do you collect (or wish you collected)?
  8. What’s one of your favorite posts YOU’VE written? Please share the link.
  9. What’s your favorite quote?
  10. What are three words to describe you as a teenager?
  11. What are three words to describe your life right now?
It’s time to remember your password, log into your blog, and dust off your words.
The world needs your story!

  1. I'm not surprised at some of your answers, but want to tell you that The Power of One is a favorite book-I've never seen the movie. It's a book I often urged students to read-so inspiring. Fun to read, Ruth. And, I miss hearing from those people up top too!

  2. I'm hoping you will have spurred those bloggers to get back telling their story. Last week I was thinking the same thoughts. So glad the sunshine came to your world so we get another glimpse into your busy life.

  3. Glad you were up to the invitation to respond to so many questions.I loved reading your answers. I always love reading your words.

  4. Ruth, thanks for shining your light on so many questions! And…any time you'd like to venture a little farther north, you are WELCOME to come read to my class! 🙂 Now, I'm encouraged to watch a new movie…I've never seen The Power of One but I've just added it to my list.
