I’m glad you are here to celebrate! Share a link to your blog post below and/or use #celebratelu to share celebrations on Twitter.

  1. We have a court date for J.’s adoption! It’s been a long process (since January 2013), but we are happy how things are working out and thankful to be officially a forever family on paper by the end of the month!
  2. Sam and I spent his last day of school together on a field trip. It was a very good day to be a mom.
  3. All-Write is going to be here before we know it! I’m looking forward to the Wednesday Pre-Conference dinner almost as much as the institute! If you want to join us on Wednesday sign up here — everyone is welcome!
  4. School is officially out!
  5. Due to #4, I get to write more!

  1. How wonderful for your family to finally have a date for the adoption. I am jealous of #4 as we have another 8 days of school. Enjoy your writing and family time.

  2. These are BIG celebrations! J's news is fantastic–another step towards healing. And I imagine a field trip with Sam had to be just about the most perfect transition from school to summer. I am growing more and more excited about #3 as it gets closer!

  3. I am so happy to be here to “celebrate!” I am a first-timer, and found your wonderful blog and thoughtful, reflective link-up through Kim over at Books First in Maine! I wish I didn't already have district technology PD scheduled for the same week of June as the All Write conference! I hope to come next year though!

Congrats on your “forever family” milestone! You are lucky to have each other!

  5. I love your phrase, “a forever family.” How lucky you all are to have one another!
I am also excited about time to write. Five days into summer break, and I've written all 5 days.
Can't wait to see you at AllWrite!

  6. So much family joy! The pieces are falling into place to create that forever family. Can't wait to meet up again in a few short weeks!

  7. Wonderful celebrations! God is good.Looking forward to reading your writing over the summer! Your words always bless my heart.

My link is a little different. Much heartache in my city this week.
