One.

Kris Long (top) and Dina Coverstone (bottom) are teachers I have worked alongside for many years. I’ve learned a lot about intermediate students from time spent in their classrooms. Recently they opened their writing workshops for area teachers to observe. I loved being part of the observation and getting to see Kris and Dina in action. They’ve dedicated themselves to constantly growing their craft of teaching. I’m glad to get to be part of the journey.

Two.

I love all of the notes around our house. This one made me pause and take a photo.

Three.
Ready to Flip a Coin is a new blog by Jen Ferguson. I met Jen at the All Write Summer Institute. She’s a young teacher who made the trip to the institute alone. I admire her dedication to growing as a teacher. I’m excited she is stepping into the blog community. Please take a minute to welcome her.

Four.

My niece’s preschool Christmas program was this week. My dad, Stephanie, and I made the two hour trek to watch her perform two numbers. It was well worth the four hours spent in the car. It was especially worth it to get a hug and hear her sweet voice say, “I’m so glad you came Aunt Ruth! I love you!”

I’m looking forward to being inspired by your celebrations. Please link-up below!

  1. How sweet of you to take the time to see your niece's performance. This is one of the things that can not be measured with time or money. It's priceless.

  2. I wish I could tag along to see Chris and Dina in action.
Four hours for a preschool Christmas program – you're an incredible aunt and the smiles on both your faces show a special relationship!

  3. Such great celebrations! I need to start taking more pictures and may even start using my original blog where I shared lots of family fun. Thanks for the inspiration!
