  1. My brand new online course for Choice Literacy: Writing Workshop Basics is open for registration. It’s all about molding writing workshop to be a well-oiled machine. This is one of my very favorite topics and I’m excited for the opportunity to get to share, inspire, and interact with an online class.
  2. Hannah was accepted to Honor Band. Today she practices all day. This means I have all day to wait for her. Ah-hem. What will I ever do?  Write! Shop! Read!
  3. I get to meet DEB DAY!!!
  4. NCTE. If you’ll be there, will you let me know? I’d love to say hello in person!
  5. Christmas. Is. Coming.
  6. I dusted off the {Discover. Play. Build.} Facebook page. (Again.)

  1. The course sounds wonderful…congratulations!!! Congrats to your daughter as well!! So much to celebrate! I am so sad to say I won't be at NCTE this year. BUMMER!!! Have a wonderful time!! Thank you for sharing this on a day when it's hard to celebrate. I think it's on days like these when it's most important to celebrate!

  2. I hope to see you at NCTE! Looking forward to all that NCTE brings!
I saw your online course on Twitter yesterday. I need to head over to Choice Literacy!
    Congrats to your daughter!

  3. I will be at NCTE. I can't believe it's almost here! Are you doing any sessions? Holly and I are presenting with Carol Varsalona on Friday at 4. I'll also be on the Donald Graves Awards panel on Saturday. I hope we can meet.

  4. I struggled, and finally found a way to write. Thank Ruth, and to everyone for your writing, for the 'push' to find my celebrations. I'll be back this afternoon to read your celebrations.

  5. Ruth, I am so excited to hear that you will be at NCTE. Margaret Simon, Paul Hankins, and I are meeting on Thursday night for dinner. I would love to meet with you too. I'm celebrating gratitude and am filled with positivity for what is to come.
