Once upon a time,” he said out loud to the darkness. He said these words because they were the best, the most powerful words that he knew and just the saying of them comforted him.”
—Kate DiCamillo (The Tale of Despereaux)

Exhale.
Live.

  1. Your post makes me smile because those are my exact sentiments right now. I recently heard someone say, “Don't get it perfect. Get it going.” That's my new mantra and it's ok if I don't get it perfect. 🙂 Thanks for everything Ruth! J

  2. Love your focus on those three roles – momma, teacher, writer. And celebrating the blessing that your writer self is to all of us!

  3. This is sage advice for all of us today. What happened to the little photo link-ups? I was always so impressed that this site had photos to click on to link up with the others.

  4. Hello Dear Ruth, I so appreciate your wise thoughts. Too often we strive to do way too much. You are right to focus on just the things that are most important. It's a balancing act. Thanks for the blessing of this celebration page.
