CELEBRATE This Week: LIV
I’m glad you are here to celebrate! Share a link to your blog post below and/or use #celebratelu to share celebrations on Twitter.
Starting next week, I’ll post the Celebrate This Week post on Friday night at 10(ish). This way if you are like Colby and Friday works better for you to celebrate, then you can. Let’s look at it as a weekend celebration. Whenever it fits, add your link. Please leave a little comment love for the person who links before you.
Purpose.
I’m celebrating purpose. It makes all the difference to a writer. I’ve finally accepted a shift in the primary purpose of my writing life. There’s a new look around here to show this inside change on the outside.
- Purpose is powerful and without it, choosing a topic, considering your audience, and crafting the words become difficult.
- It’s okay to have more than one purpose. It’s not okay to feel torn and unsure of your purpose.
- I feel like I’ve been given a big shiny gift with a glittery ribbon tied around it. I get to encourage celebration and wrap words around stories of adoption and faith. Making me giddy is the fact that I still have time to clack some words about teaching writers or coaching teachers. I didn’t realize how much energy having an unclear purpose zapped from my writing life.
- I finally put words to my decision to close comments. It goes back to purpose. (I have decided to leave comments open on the Celebrate This posts, in order to continue to be part of this community.)

Ah, the power of words. Purpose feels so strong. Love reading about your journey to it and what it means.
Thank you for the early post time! There are some weeks that I would love this option. Your last few posts steer my thinking this week.

Thank you again for hosting the space and encouraging this celebration community. It has become an important part of my week and a ritual that I look forward to. I am so glad that you are giddy! Giddy is a good state. And I am happy for you as your writing life is taking a fresh path.
Thank you for encouraging our celebrations. It sounds like this new clarity is a great thing for you. It is crazy how indecision can zap our strength. I love the new look for the blog and it sounds like you will have a lot to say about your new focus.
I'm more of a Sunday Celebrate poster…I've been struggling with getting any posts up on time lately…but some do get up at least so that's something to CELEBRATE. Thanks for hosting this wonderful meme. I look forward to celebrating each week. 🙂
Yes, love your new look on your “discover. play, Build.” billboard and the new tabs. All your purposes are now becoming much clearer to me. You're like a flower blossoming. Glad I discovered “Sam's Stuff,” too.
