Tiny Faith is Enough {Story 13 of 40}

This scripture keeps tapping me. Consistently, it shows up in my reading. Threads of the verses weave their ways into my thinking and into my prayers. I’m often left feeling like I have too little faith.
The thing is, they didn’t need more faith. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, it is enoughIt’s not about me and how much faith I can muster. A little faith is enough for big things to happen.

Trees can uproot

 Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. –Hebrews 11:1
I want to be bold in my certainty of the things I do not see. Then I read Matthew 6:25-34 and I’m reminded how little faith I have. There is a lie that sneaks in and tells me if I don’t have grand faith, then I am nothing. This is not true. Faith is so powerful that I only need a small bit. Then this small bit takes hold and grows.
Did you know a mustard seed is one of the most resilient of all seeds? It can take hold and sprout in the least ideal conditions.
Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches. — Matthew 13:32
I don’t need to ask for more faith because as long as I have a little, God is able to grow it until it is the kind of faith that is useful to Him. I don’t need to worry because the One who made the birds and the flowers has it all under control. As long as I have a tiny faith, it is enough to turn into a faith that will move mountains and heal chidren.
